Associate Clinical Social Worker
Cindy Castillo provides an important service to her patients: she provides
a voice that assures them recovery is possible, no matter what diagnosis
or obstacle they are wrestling with. She began her work as a school-based
therapist. She worked throughout several schools in Butte County, focusing
on high-risk students and families. Working with high-risk students meant
helping overcome difficult and diverse obstacles in people’s lives,
a skill she brings to her work at Therapeutic Solutions.
According to Cindy, the most compelling part of working with the team at
Therapeutic Solutions is the collaborative approach to care. By working
with psychiatrists, psychologists, counselors, and therapists, she has
an opportunity to provide a community of support to patients. She understands
that recovery from mental disorders will involve a great deal of obstacles—community
and commitment are key to her treatment philosophy because they help reduce
the pain and struggle of major obstacles.
Cindy earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work from California State
University, Chico. When she is not guiding patients to better mental health,
Cindi enjoys the outdoors, particularly hiking and camping. She also enjoys
watching football and spending time with family and friends, as well as
traveling and going to the gym.
